Job Description
Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Kolkata
Experience: 7+ Years
CTC: ₹10–15 LPA
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, taxation, audits, and MIS reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in financial accounting, GST, TDS, Income Tax, budgeting, and ERP systems, preferably SAP Business One (SAP B1). Experience in the manufacturing industry or listed companies will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Perform account reconciliations and monitor financial controls.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, and other statutory regulations.
- Prepare and review GST returns, TDS returns, Income Tax Returns (ITR), and related reconciliations.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and government authorities on compliance matters.
- Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulatory requirements.
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate and manage internal audits, statutory audits, tax audits, and compliance audits.
- Maintain audit documentation and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and compliance processes.
MIS, Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, financial dashboards, and management reports.
- Assist management in annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable business insights.
- Support management with cost control and profitability analysis.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified CA, CA Inter, Semi-Qualified CA, or CA Dropout.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, and Compliance.
- Experience in Manufacturing, FMCG, Trading, or Listed Companies will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, Financial Reporting, Audits, and Statutory Compliance.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1) is mandatory.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Hindi is mandatory; Marwari language proficiency will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- CA / CA Inter / Semi-Qualified CA / CA Dropout
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or related field (preferred)
