Job Title: Head of Product Development and Support

About the Company
DreamGreen Technologies (DG) is a Pune-based startup engaged in the development of advanced solutions for the Defence sector, specifically in NBCD (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Defence) and electronics domains. DG works closely with a Swiss MNC to develop NBCD solutions and supports Defence and Government clients in India.
Role Overview
The Head of Product Development and Support will lead solution development, field support, and customer engagement activities for defence-focused products. This is a hands-on leadership role combining product engineering, support operations, documentation, and business development with Defence and Government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product / Solution Development
- Develop solutions based on existing products and capabilities
- Engage with users to understand operational requirements and convert them into deployable solutions
- Identify and manage existing and new vendors
- Design prototypes, conduct testing, gather user feedback, and finalize products
2. Product Support
- Oversee support activities for Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPRs) supplied to the Indian Navy
- Manage routine and breakdown maintenance activities
- Use support engagements to capture additional user requirements and identify new opportunities
3. Business Development & Customer Engagement
- Engage with Defence and Government clients for requirement understanding, customer interaction, and tender participation
- Proactively interact with multiple stakeholders across Defence and Government organizations
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare high-quality documentation required for tenders and Government processes
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to Defence procurement standards
Location & Travel
- Base Location: Pune
- On-site presence required
- Travel to customer locations as needed
Compensation
- Salary up to ₹15 LPA
- Compensation as per industry standards
Candidate Profile
- Preferably from a Naval background with strong knowledge of NBCD and firefighting principles
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to generate and implement solutions
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a small, high-responsibility team
- Self-driven, proactive, and resourceful in identifying and implementing market solutions
- Fluent in English and Hindi (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong sense of discipline, integrity, and adherence to service values
