Job Description
- Department Setup: Lead the establishment of the glass printing department, including the installation, calibration, and setup of printing machinery and associated equipment.
- Operational Leadership: Take charge of day-to-day operations in the glass printing department, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Machine Operation: Operate glass printing machinery effectively, including loading and unloading glass substrates, setting up print jobs, and monitoring printing processes for quality and efficiency.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that printed glass products meet specifications for color accuracy, resolution, and adhesion.
- Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of printing operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their success and the achievement of departmental goals.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize printing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce waste through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Inventory Management: Manage ink and substrate inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production and minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production output, machine maintenance, quality control measures, and inventory levels.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees in the glass printing department.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in printing technology is preferred. An Engineering Degree in Printing would be preferred.
- 3-4 years of experience operating printing machinery, with a focus on glass substrates.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience supervising a team in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality printed materials.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for machine operation and data entry.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to printing operations.
