Job Title: AVP – Product Development (Fund Manager)
Department: Product Development
Location: Mumbai
Reporting To:
- L1: Head – Product, Business Strategy & International Business
- L2: Chief Business Officer
CTC: Up to ₹45 LPA Fixed + 25–30% Variable
Role Overview
The incumbent will lead product design, development, and lifecycle management for investment products, including AIF (Category III), PMS, Mutual Funds, and International/GIFT City funds. The role involves working closely with investment, marketing, compliance, and distribution teams to launch and position innovative financial products while ensuring regulatory alignment and market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Strategy
- Lead new product ideation, research, and development across asset classes (Equity, Debt, Hybrid, Alternate Investments).
- Design and launch AIF (SIF), PMS, Mutual Funds, and International/GIFT City products.
- Develop asset allocation models and bundled solutions (Fund of Funds structures).
- Manage end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to launch and performance tracking.
Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct peer group and competitor analysis across AIF, PMS, and Mutual Funds.
- Analyze existing products and recommend enhancements for better positioning.
- Track macro/microeconomic trends and provide actionable insights to internal teams.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Investment, Compliance, Marketing, and Reporting teams for product development and execution.
- Collaborate with marketing for product positioning, go-to-market strategies, and communication.
- Interface with external wealth partners such as Avendus, Marcellus, ASK, IIFL, Motilal Oswal, etc.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare product notes, due diligence reports, and marketing collateral.
- Support AIF/PMS reporting frameworks and regulatory documentation.
- Contribute to market outlook reports and portfolio strategy communication.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to SEBI regulations (AIF, PMS, Mutual Funds).
- Coordinate for approvals, documentation, and audit requirements.
Qualifications
- CA / MBA / Postgraduate in Finance or related field
- NISM Certification (preferred)
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in Product Development / Investment Products / Wealth Management / AMC / PMS / AIF firms
- Experience in international products, asset allocation, or product structuring is preferred
