Location: Kolkata Reports To : Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Key Responsibilities: • To monitor day-to-day accounting function e.g. general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable and ensure closing of books in time bound manner on periodic basis including periodic bank reconciliation, provisions/accruals, ledger scrutiny, vendor payments, GST Invoicing etc. • Responsible for preparing and analysing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements • Balance sheet reconciliations & Finalisation • To prepare monthly/quarterly financial results for Management review • Coordinate with internal and statutory auditor and complete the quarterly & annual audits • Ensure timely compliance including payment and return of TDS, Professional Tax & GST • Responsible for adherence to financial & accounting policies and operating procedures framed by the company. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all company documentation, including board meetings and resolutions • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability. Qualifications: • Chartered Accountant with Company Secretary qualification (Must be CA & CS) • Experience - Minimum of 8 -10 years of post-qualification experience out of which 3-5 years in a similar role, preferably in the retail industry. Requirement & Skills: • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and corporate governance • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office. • Knowledge in financial practices and regulations of retail industry will be an added advantage.
