Job Overview
The UI/UX Designer & Front-End Developer will be responsible for designing intuitive user experiences, creating engaging digital interfaces, and developing responsive websites, dashboards, and product applications.
The role involves translating ideas and functional requirements into user journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and visually appealing interfaces using modern UI/UX design principles and front-end development technologies.
The candidate will work with design tools such as Figma, front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React or equivalent technologies.
The position also involves API integration, interface testing, usability improvements, and collaboration with team members to ensure smooth functionality and consistent user experiences across digital products.
In addition to design and development responsibilities, the candidate will conduct technology-related learning sessions for students aged approximately 10–20 years.
The role follows a 50:50 work structure, with half of the responsibilities dedicated to research and product development and the remaining half focused on student learning and technical education.
The ideal candidate should have a combination of creative design thinking, practical front-end development capabilities, and an interest in developing digital products while guiding students through technology-related learning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly interfaces for websites, dashboards, and digital applications.
- Translate project ideas, user requirements, and functional specifications into structured user journeys, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
- Create interface designs using Figma or comparable UI/UX design tools.
- Develop responsive websites, dashboards, and product interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
- Build reusable and maintainable front-end components for web applications.
- Implement UI/UX designs into functional and interactive web interfaces.
- Apply responsive design principles to ensure consistent experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate, test, refine, and improve user experiences.
- Identify usability issues and implement improvements to enhance navigation, accessibility, and interface functionality.
- Integrate APIs and connect front-end applications with back-end services.
- Ensure smooth interaction between user interfaces, application components, and connected services.
- Maintain clean, structured, reusable, and properly documented front-end code.
- Use Git and version control practices to manage development changes and collaborate on software projects.
- Participate in front-end testing, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.
- Identify and resolve interface-related issues, responsive layout problems, and front-end functionality errors.

- Take ownership of assigned design and development tasks and contribute to project completion.
- Conduct technology, UI/UX design, and front-end development-related learning sessions for students.
- Introduce students to digital design concepts, website development fundamentals, and practical technology applications.
- Guide students through hands-on design exercises, interface development activities, and technical demonstrations.
- Explain design and development concepts in a structured and understandable manner.
- Support student learning initiatives involving digital design, programming, and related technologies.
- Coordinate with team members on assigned research, development, and technical education activities.
- Development & Learning Responsibilities
- Research & Product Development – 50%
- Work on assigned UI/UX design, front-end development, and digital product development projects.
- Design user journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and application interfaces.
- Develop responsive websites, dashboards, and digital product interfaces.
- Translate design prototypes into functional front-end applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React or equivalent frameworks.

Student Learning & Technical Sessions – 50%
- Conduct technology-related learning sessions for students aged approximately 10–20 years.
- Introduce students to digital design fundamentals, user interface concepts, and website development basics.
- Demonstrate practical interface design techniques using relevant design tools.
- Guide students through basic wireframing, prototyping, and web interface development activities.
- Explain how digital products are designed, developed, and improved.
- Support hands-on student projects involving website design, front-end development, and technology applications.
- Help students understand the relationship between visual design, usability, and application functionality.
- Encourage practical application of design and programming concepts through project-based learning.
- Coordinate with team members on assigned student learning and technical education initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- 0–2 years of experience in UI/UX design, front-end development, web design, or related digital product development projects.
- Experienced candidates with strong design portfolios and practical front-end development capabilities are also eligible.
- Practical knowledge of UI/UX design principles, user interface development, and user experience improvement.
- Hands-on experience with Figma or similar UI/UX design and prototyping tools.
- Ability to create user journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and digital interface designs.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end web development.
- Familiarity with React or an equivalent modern front-end framework.
- Understanding of responsive web design and mobile-friendly interface development.
- Knowledge of usability principles and user-centered design approaches.
- Ability to translate visual designs into functional front-end components.
- Understanding of API integration and communication between front-end applications and back-end services.
