Job Overview
The F&B Controller will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the Food & Beverage department, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, budgeting and inventory control.
The position requires strong knowledge of F&B financial management and a focus on optimizing operational and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly and monthly financial reports for the F&B department.
- Monitor and analyze F&B revenue and costs.
- Ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Budget Management
- Assist in developing the annual F&B budget.
- Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Cost Control & Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory management for the F&B department.
- Conduct regular stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure cost-control procedures are followed.
- Monitor inventory levels and support measures to optimize costs.
Collaboration
- Work closely with F&B department heads to streamline processes.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste.
- Support initiatives to improve financial and operational performance.
Auditing & Compliance
- Perform periodic audits of F&B financial and inventory activities.
- Ensure proper accounting procedures are followed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in F&B financial management, Hotel/Catering or a related hospitality role.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of F&B industry standards and cost-control techniques.
- Previous experience with ERP systems or specialized F&B management software is preferred.
