Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, vendor management, and procurement operations for fitness and wellness equipment projects across India.

The role will be responsible for managing domestic and international suppliers, driving procurement efficiencies, optimizing costs, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and supporting successful execution of fitness and wellness projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong vendor management expertise, procurement planning capabilities, and experience handling global sourcing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities for fitness and wellness equipment projects.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Manage procurement planning, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and purchase processes.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across procurement functions.

Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, delivery, and service standards.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations and ensure favorable procurement terms.
  • Develop and strengthen the global supplier network.

Project & Equipment Management

  • Support equipment selection, technical evaluation, and specification finalization.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement and project execution.
  • Monitor procurement schedules and ensure material availability as per project requirements.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with national and international quality, safety, and industry standards.
  • Monitor import regulations, procurement policies, and contractual obligations.
  • Review technical documentation, vendor submissions, and procurement records.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Service, Logistics, Warehouse, Marketing, Finance, and HR teams.
  • Support business objectives through effective procurement planning and execution.
  • Provide procurement insights for business growth and operational efficiency.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Mentor and guide procurement team members.
  • Manage relationships with senior leadership, external vendors, and strategic partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain functions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree or MBA will be preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Vendor Management, or Project Procurement.
  • Experience in Fitness & Wellness, Sports Infrastructure, Commercial Equipment, Hospitality, Healthcare Equipment, or similar industries preferred.
  • Proven experience handling international suppliers and large-scale procurement projects.
  • Experience managing import procurement and global sourcing operations.
