Job Title: Hardware Testing Engineer
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (On-site)

Oizom is a leading solution provider in the Environmental Monitoring Domain. Oizom solutions are used in Smart Cities, Industries, Landfills, and Airports where critical decisions are made based on environmental data.
The Hardware Testing Engineer is responsible for conducting functional, performance, and reliability tests on hardware components, identifying, analyzing, and documenting hardware defects or malfunctions, and collaborating with design and development teams to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive hardware testing plans including functional, performance, and stress tests
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of hardware issues using advanced electronic test equipment
- Validate communication protocols such as I2C, UART, and SPI to ensure seamless data transmission
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, firmware, and manufacturing to resolve technical issues efficiently
- Document detailed test reports, findings, and recommendations for design improvements
- Contribute to the development of automated testing scripts using Python to enhance testing efficiency
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of basic electronics, signal flow, and hardware components
- Knowledge of electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, ICs, microcontrollers, and sensors
- Hands-on experience with communication protocols like I2C, UART, SPI
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for hardware validation
- Ability to analyze and resolve hardware issues effectively
- Good understanding of test instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
- Exposure to PCB debugging and rework techniques
- Basic knowledge of Python for test automation, scripting, or data analysis
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Good communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams
- Ability to make quick and effective decisions during testing cycles
Preferred Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
- 0–2 years of experience in hardware testing or validation
- Exposure to hardware validation in IoT, automotive, or consumer electronics industries is a plus
