Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive revenue growth for SafeTree's Surety Bonds vertical — Bid Bonds, Performance Bonds, Advance Payment Bonds, Retention Money Bonds, Customs/Court Bonds, and other contract/financial guarantee instruments.
- Build and manage relationships with surety insurers/underwriters to secure competitive terms and quick turnarounds for clients.
- Drive new business acquisition across sectors that need surety cover — infrastructure, construction, EPC, renewable energy, manufacturing, and government contractors.
- Lead client pitches, proposals, and deal closures for large corporate and PSU accounts.
- Advise clients on regulatory and contractual requirements (IRDAI surety guidelines, tender conditions, contract clauses) related to bonds.
- Manage end-to-end client servicing — bond issuance coordination, renewals, and claims support.
- Track market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings in the surety space to identify new business opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- 4–7 years of experience in corporate sales, business development, or broking, with exposure to surety bonds / financial guarantee products (insurance, broking, banking, or NBFC background considered).
- Existing relationships with corporate/contractor clients in infrastructure, construction, or EPC sectors is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of surety bond structures and IRDAI surety regulations, with the ability to translate this into client value.
- Strong track record of driving new business, closing deals, and managing senior client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven and comfortable building a vertical/business line from the ground up.
