Job Description
Designation: Area Sales Manager
Locations: Maharashtra, Bihar, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu
Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹55,000 per month + Incentives (based on experience and current package)
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) with experience in the Hand Tools, Power Tools, Measuring Tapes, Abrasives, or Diamond Cutting Blades industry. The candidate will be responsible for dealer development, market expansion, secondary sales growth, and achieving sales targets within the assigned territory.
The ideal candidate should have strong market knowledge of the hardware and tools industry along with the ability to build long-term dealer and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Appoint and develop new dealers and sub-dealers in the assigned territory.
- Drive secondary sales through existing dealer networks.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities to expand market reach.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Dealer & Channel Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and channel partners.
- Support dealers in increasing market penetration and product visibility.
- Ensure regular market visits and dealer engagement activities.
Market Expansion & Product Promotion
- Conduct market mapping and analyze competitor activities, pricing, and product movements.
- Promote and launch new products in the assigned territory.
- Visit architects, builders, contractors, and key influencers to generate business opportunities.
Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Submit regular sales reports, market feedback, and competitor analysis.
- Track market trends and customer requirements to support business growth strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum Graduate in any discipline.
- 3–4 years of experience in Sales & Marketing within:
- Measuring Tapes
- Hand Tools
- Power Tools
- Abrasives
- Diamond Cutting Blades
- Candidates must be from the Measuring Tape or Hand Tools industry only.
- Strong understanding of the hardware and tools market in the assigned region.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 15 days per month.
- Self-motivated with a target-driven approach.
