Job Title: US Tax Associate Manager / Reviewer
Location: Ahmedabad / Chennai
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Mode: Onsite / Hybrid
Shift Timing: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM (Day Shift)
Experience Required: 4–9 Years

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced US Tax Associate Manager / Reviewer with strong expertise in US Non-Profit Taxation, specifically Form 990 and Form 990-T reviews. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance engagements, reviewing tax returns, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality delivery while coordinating with US and India teams.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Review & Compliance
- Review US Non-Profit Tax Returns, including Form 990, Form 990-EZ, and Form 990-T.
- Review schedules, disclosures, UBIT (Unrelated Business Income Tax) calculations, and compliance requirements.
- Analyze financial statements and identify missing tax information, supporting documents, and reporting gaps.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of tax engagements in accordance with IRS regulations.
- Maintain compliance with client-specific requirements and internal quality standards.
Team Management & Leadership
- Lead, train, and mentor tax professionals on Form 990 compliance and US tax concepts.
- Review team deliverables and provide constructive feedback to improve quality and efficiency.
- Manage workload allocation, project timelines, and resource planning.
- Drive process improvements and best practices across engagements.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with US-based teams and clients to resolve tax-related queries.
- Ensure smooth communication and timely delivery of engagement requirements.
- Support client relationship management through proactive communication and issue resolution.
Quality & Process Excellence
- Perform detailed quality reviews and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and continuous learning within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- CA, CPA, EA, or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
- 4–9 years of experience in US Taxation, with strong exposure to Non-Profit Tax Returns (Form 990).
- Experience in reviewing tax returns and managing tax compliance engagements.
Preferred Skills
- Strong expertise in Form 990, Form 990-T, and UBIT calculations.
- Good understanding of US Non-Profit Organization tax regulations.
- Experience in tax return review, quality control, and compliance management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in leading and mentoring teams.
