Job Title: Quality Controller
Department: Operations (Steel Cut & Bend)
Job Level: Executive
Reporting to: Head - Operations
Locations: Vijayawada, Hyderabad
Work Timing: Shift based
Travel Required: As per project/site requirements
Salary: ₹3,60,000 – ₹4,80,000 per annum
Experience Required: Minimum 4 years of experience with 2 years in CAB / Steel / Construction industry

Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Controller responsible for ensuring product quality, compliance, and process control in CAB (Cutting and Bending) operations. The role involves technical drawing, quality inspection, safety compliance, and process improvement activities within production and operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and prepare AutoCAD drawings and Bar Bending Schedule (BBS)
- Occasionally prepare BBS independently
- Create and modify structural shapes using AutoCAD
- Ensure knowledge and application of IS standards (IS 1786 & IS 2502 for TMT steel)
- Understand TMT steel properties and laboratory testing methods
- Monitor CAB production processes and support optimization initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industrial safety practices
- Maintain awareness of ISO standards (ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018) and internal audits
- Follow HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines
- Conduct quality inspections and prepare reports (FPA, LPA)
- Support process improvement initiatives including 5S implementation
- Participate in line walk audits and quality checks
- Identify cost of rework and support reduction initiatives
- Ensure proper measurement systems for lengths and angles in production
Academic Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is required
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and engineering drawings
- Understanding of TMT steel properties and testing
- Knowledge of industrial safety and ISO standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with quality control processes in manufacturing
- Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to work in a production/site environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Team-oriented and disciplined work approach
Additional Information
- Engineers are highly preferred even with 4+ year of experience with min 2 years in Cut & Bend
- Work involves coordination between production, quality, and operations teams
