Job Title: MEP Manager
Company: Noster Associates
Location: Trivandrum, Kerala
Experience: 11 - 15 Years
Salary: ₹85,000 – ₹1,25,000 per month, based on experience
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced, technically strong, and hands-on MEP Manager to lead our MEP design and engineering function.
This is a technical leadership role, and we are specifically looking for someone who can independently develop practical and technically sound engineering solutions across multiple MEP disciplines—not someone whose experience is primarily limited to project coordination or site execution.
The ideal candidate should have strong multidisciplinary expertise across HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and preferably ELV systems, with the ability to lead projects from the design and engineering stage through execution, testing, commissioning, and handover.
The candidate should have strong experience in commercial buildings, particularly office interiors, workplace fit-outs, and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete MEP design and engineering function across multiple projects.
- Independently develop practical, efficient, and code-compliant engineering solutions for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and ELV systems.
- Prepare, review, and approve Design Basis Reports (DBRs), BOQs, engineering calculations, technical specifications, equipment schedules, and shop drawings.
- Lead multidisciplinary design coordination with architects, structural engineers, interior designers, consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Review designs and identify and resolve technical conflicts before construction.
- Lead technical discussions and provide engineering solutions to project-related challenges.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes, including NBC, ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NFPA, IEC, IS codes, and other relevant standards.
- Provide technical guidance during execution, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
- Review material submittals, technical proposals, and vendor submissions.
- Support procurement, estimation, budgeting, and value engineering activities.
- Establish and maintain MEP engineering standards, workflows, design practices, and quality-control procedures.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary MEP engineering team.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining design quality, timelines, and technical standards.
- Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, and proposal development.
- Work closely with the leadership team to develop efficient, practical, and commercially viable MEP solutions.
Candidate Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in MEP design and project execution.
- Strong experience in commercial projects, office interiors, and workplace fit-out projects is essential.
- Experience with complete building developments / greenfield projects will be an added advantage.
Technical Expertise
- Strong hands-on and multidisciplinary design capability across:
- HVAC
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Fire Protection
- ELV, preferably
- Proven ability to independently develop engineering solutions rather than relying solely on external consultants.
- Strong understanding of MEP design principles, engineering calculations, technical specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Familiarity with HAP, DIALux, and other relevant MEP engineering/design software is preferred.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Strong technical problem-solving and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client-management abilities.
- Ability to lead and mentor engineers and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Please ensure that the candidates shortlisted for this position are technically strong MEP professionals with genuine design and engineering experience.
We are not looking for candidates whose background is primarily project coordination, supervision, or site execution.
The person should be capable of:
- Understanding engineering requirements.
- Developing practical engineering solutions.
- Reviewing designs and calculations.
- Resolving technical issues.
- Leading the MEP team from a strong technical and design perspective.
