Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records, patient charts, and documentation to accurately assign ICD-10 and CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Ensure that all coding is compliant with applicable coding guidelines and regulations, including federal and state requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and physicians to clarify coding and documentation discrepancies.
- Perform regular audits to identify coding errors and discrepancies and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding changes, industry updates, and compliance standards.
- Provide coding expertise and guidance to internal staff, as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Proficient in the use of coding software and related tools.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations and guidelines.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or similar) is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Adherence to confidentiality and data protection standards.
- Must be an immediate joiner
