Job Description
Position: GCMS Analyst / Technical Perfumer
Job location: Mumbai
Salary: 10 LPA
Experience: 4-5 Years
Job Responsibilities:
- Cross-category fragrance creation and formulation based on customer briefs
- Conducting olfactive raw material (RM) studies across various product categories
- Analyzing GCMS reports to identify individual aroma chemicals and natural raw materials to recreate existing fragrances or client benchmarks.
- Translating complex chromatographic data into practical perfumery formulas.
- Modifying fragrances to solve stability issues, ensuring they perform consistently across different bases like soaps, detergents, or fine fragrances.
- Developing new internal perfumery bases and accords
- Integrating company captives into fragrance creations and business projects
- Developing and modifying fragrances as per client requirements while ensuring IFRA compliance
- Performing fragrance matching and formulation using GC-MS / Headspace analysis
- Creating cost-effective fragrances based on marketing concepts and briefs
- Developing innovative and winning fragrances at competitive pricing using company's specialties
- Matching fine fragrances as well as functional and industrial fragrances
- Creating fragrances for the following product categories: Deodorants, Soaps, Shampoos, Detergents, Body Wash, Fabric Softeners, Liquid Detergents, Other Personal Care & Home Care Products
Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge of fragrance formulation and fragrance matching
- Hands-on experience with GC-MS and Headspace analysis
- Understanding of IFRA guidelines and compliance standards
- Creative approach towards fragrance development
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work on multiple customer briefs and timelines simultaneously
