Job Description
- Make outbound calls to insurance companies for medical billing purposes
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials to secure payment
- Verify insurance information and eligibility for patients
- Update patient accounts with accurate payment and billing information
- Resolve billing issues and discrepancies with insurance companies
- Document all communication and actions taken in the billing system
- Meet weekly and monthly targets for collections and AR aging
- Collaborate with billing team to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims
- Stay up-to-date on insurance regulations and coding changes
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and insurance company representatives
