Job Overview

The F&B Controller will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the Food & Beverage department, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, budgeting, cost control and inventory management.

The role requires strong knowledge of F&B financial management, financial reporting and cost-control practices, along with an understanding of F&B operations and a focus on optimizing financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and analyze daily, weekly and monthly financial reports for the F&B department.
• Monitor and analyze F&B revenue and costs.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.

Budget Management

• Assist in the development of the annual F&B budget.
• Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted figures.
• Support financial planning and forecasting activities.

Cost Control & Inventory Management

• Oversee F&B inventory management and stock control.
• Conduct regular stock counts and ensure accurate inventory records.
• Monitor F&B costs and ensure established cost-control procedures are followed.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and identify areas for cost optimization.

Collaboration & Operational Improvement

• Work closely with F&B department heads to streamline financial and operational processes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve financial performance.
• Support F&B teams in maintaining effective cost-control practices.

Auditing & Compliance

• Perform periodic audits of F&B financial and inventory-related activities.
• Ensure proper accounting practices are followed.
• Support compliance with applicable financial standards and internal procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in F&B financial management, Hotel/Catering or a related hospitality role.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of F&B industry standards and cost-control techniques.
• Previous experience with ERP systems or specialized F&B management software is preferred.
