Kriti’s Studio is a growing interior design studio specializing in full-home interiors, modular furniture, customized designs, and carpentry solutions. We work closely with clients to understand their lifestyle, preferences, functional requirements, and budget to create practical, aesthetically appealing, and customized interior spaces.

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and client-focused Interior Designer who can understand client requirements, develop design concepts, prepare layouts, coordinate with internal teams, and support smooth project execution.

Job Overview

The Interior Designer will be responsible for managing the design process from understanding client requirements through design development, revisions, coordination, and execution support. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of residential interiors, space planning, modular furniture, materials, and interior design software.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Handling & Requirement Understanding

• Understand clients' requirements, lifestyle, preferences, design expectations, and budget.
• Conduct client discussions and explain design concepts and recommendations.
• Visit project sites and take accurate measurements wherever required.
• Understand site conditions and identify practical design considerations.
• Maintain regular communication and follow up with clients throughout the design process.

2. Interior Design & Space Planning

• Prepare furniture layouts and effective space-planning solutions.
• Develop interior concepts for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, false ceilings, and other residential spaces.
• Create customized designs based on client requirements and available space.
• Recommend appropriate materials, colours, finishes, hardware, and furniture solutions.
• Prepare and coordinate 2D layouts, 3D designs, and working drawings.
• Ensure designs are aesthetically appealing as well as practical and execution-friendly.

3. Modular Furniture & Carpentry Coordination

• Develop designs for modular kitchens, wardrobes, storage units, furniture, and other customized interior solutions.
• Understand carpentry requirements and construction methods.
• Coordinate design specifications with carpentry and execution teams.
• Ensure dimensions, materials, finishes, and hardware specifications are accurately communicated.

4. Quotation & Design Coordination

• Understand client requirements and coordinate with the quotation/estimation team.
• Review design specifications and ensure alignment with the approved quotation.
• Coordinate design revisions based on client feedback.
• Prepare or support BOQs and material specifications wherever required.
• Share finalized design requirements and drawings with the execution team.

5. Project Coordination & Execution Support

• Coordinate with clients, designers, quotation teams, carpenters, vendors, and execution teams.
• Ensure approved designs are communicated accurately to the execution team.
• Address design-related queries during project execution.
• Track design revisions and ensure timely closure.
• Support the team in ensuring projects are executed as per approved designs and specifications.

Candidate Prerequisites

Educational Qualification

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Freshers with strong design skills may also be considered.
• Candidates with residential interior design experience will be preferred.

Experience

• 2–3 years of experience in Interior Design, preferably in residential projects.
• Experience in modular kitchens, wardrobes, furniture, carpentry, and full-home interiors will be an advantage.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant interior design software.
• Good knowledge of residential interior design and space planning.
• Understanding of modular furniture and carpentry work.
• Knowledge of plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, hardware, finishes, and other interior materials.
• Ability to understand floor plans, measurements, and technical drawings.
• Good design visualization and presentation skills.
• Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of quotations and BOQs will be an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
