Role Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of parking-system projects, from site readiness and material planning through installation, commissioning, and final handover.

This is a hands-on project execution role requiring strong coordination across schedules, drawings, factory operations, materials, site teams, clients, and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Control

  • Develop and maintain project execution plans, milestone schedules, manpower plans, and material-readiness trackers.
  • Manage multiple projects within agreed scope, timelines, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Identify project risks, constraints, and delays proactively and drive timely corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with Design, Production, Purchase, Quality, Stores, Logistics, and Site teams.
  • Prepare weekly project updates covering progress, key decisions, risks, and upcoming activities.

Site Execution, Commissioning & Handover

  • Verify site readiness and approved drawings before mobilizing installation teams.
  • Plan unloading, shifting, erection, assembly, alignment, and leveling of parking equipment.
  • Supervise integration of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including safety interlocks.
  • Lead testing and commissioning activities.
  • Close punch points and prepare final project handover documentation.
  • Coordinate root-cause resolution for site issues and control unauthorized design or fabrication changes.

Team & Client Coordination

  • Deploy and manage site engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Set daily and weekly targets and monitor team productivity.
  • Conduct site coordination meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Act as the primary project contact for clients, consultants, and contractors during execution and handover.
  • Coordinate inspections, approvals, clearances, and handover certificates.

Materials, Quality, Safety & Documentation

  • Track project materials from requirement through dispatch and site receipt.
  • Resolve material shortages, damages, and rejections to minimize project delays.
  • Ensure installation complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality checkpoints.
  • Enforce PPE and safe working practices at project sites.
  • Maintain DPRs, weekly reports, material logs, site photographs, schedules, and project decision records.
  • Maintain testing, commissioning, punch-list, as-built, and completion documentation.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • B.E., B.Tech, or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of hands-on project execution, installation, or commissioning experience in engineered equipment.
  • Ability to read GA, fabrication, and assembly drawings and convert them into site execution activities.
  • Practical mechanical knowledge of fabricated structures, lifting mechanisms, guide systems, chains, sprockets, shafts, bearings, and mechanical locks.
  • Practical hydraulic knowledge covering power packs, cylinders, pumps, valves, hoses, pressure checks, and leakage diagnosis.
  • Working knowledge of motors, control panels, sensors, limit switches, interlocks, PLC-based systems, earthing, and electrical safety.
  • Strong site leadership, client coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project locations as required.
