Job Title: Purchase Officer – Plastic Industry

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Officer with strong experience in the plastic manufacturing/packaging industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing procurement, vendor coordination, price negotiation, and ensuring timely availability of materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end purchase and procurement activities.
• Source raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and other required items.
• Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
• Coordinate with production, stores, and accounts teams for material requirements.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
• Resolve quality, quantity, and delivery-related issues.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor details, quotations, and invoices.
• Monitor inventory and support cost-effective procurement.

Qualifications / Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in the plastic industry.
• Good knowledge of plastic raw materials and packaging materials.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Good communication and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/purchase software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement requirements.
• Candidates with established vendor contacts in and around Kalol/Gandhinagar are preferred.
