Job Overview
As a Junior Travel Consultant, you will assist customers in planning domestic and international trips by providing travel advice, preparing flight and hotel quotations, planning itineraries, offering visa guidance, and delivering end-to-end booking support. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a rewarding career in the travel and tourism industry.
Key Responsibilities
Handle travel enquiries received through phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and the company website.
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable travel packages and services.
Prepare domestic and international holiday quotations.
Book flights, hotels, transfers, sightseeing tours, and travel insurance.
Assist customers with visa documentation and application requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers, airlines, hotels, and Destination Management Companies (DMCs).
Follow up on leads and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
Resolve customer queries before, during, and after travel.
Maintain accurate customer records and update the CRM regularly.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
Stay updated on travel trends, visa regulations, airline policies, and destination knowledge.
Required Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Customer-first attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Google Workspace.
Ability to multitask and work effectively under deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Willingness to learn travel reservation systems and booking platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline.
Diploma or certification in Travel & Tourism is an added advantage.
Prior experience in travel sales, customer support, hospitality, aviation, or a related customer-facing role is preferred.
