Job Title: Academic Counselor - MBA (CAT & OMET)

Location: Gurugram (On-site)

Work Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • 6 Days a Week
  • Timings: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Rotational Week Off

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Academic Counseling, EdTech Sales, Inside Sales, or Education Consulting.

Compensation

  • ₹25,000–₹35,000 Fixed Salary
  • Performance-Based Incentives up to ₹25,000 per month

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and target-driven Academic Counselor to guide MBA aspirants in choosing the right preparation programs for CAT and other MBA entrance exams. The ideal candidate should possess strong consultative selling skills, an understanding of the MBA admissions ecosystem, and the ability to convert prospective students through effective counseling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counsel prospective students and parents regarding CAT, XAT, SNAP, NMAT, IIFT, and other MBA entrance preparation programs.
  • Understand students' academic background, career aspirations, and preparation level to recommend suitable courses.
  • Handle inbound and outbound sales calls using a consultative sales approach.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly admission and revenue targets.
  • Make 300+ outbound calls per day with an average talk time of 3+ hours.
  • Follow up with prospective students and nurture leads until conversion.
  • Maintain accurate lead records and customer interactions in the CRM.
  • Coordinate with Academic, Product, and Student Support teams to ensure a smooth enrollment process.
  • Resolve student queries and provide excellent customer service throughout the admission journey.
  • Stay updated on MBA entrance exams, admission processes, and iQuanta's product offerings.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Academic Counseling, EdTech Sales, Inside Sales, or Education Sales.
  • Experience in counseling students for MBA entrance exams or higher education programs is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of CAT, XAT, SNAP, NMAT, IIFT, MBA Admissions, IIMs, and other OMETs.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, objection handling, and relationship management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a target-driven, high-volume sales environment.
  • Proficient in CRM software and MS Office/Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
  • MBA or Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
