About the Role

NexMEP Global is looking for an experienced Senior Plumbing Engineer to join our MEP design team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in US plumbing design for residential and commercial building projects, with strong knowledge of US plumbing codes and standards. The role involves independently handling projects, preparing construction documents, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Plumbing Design & Engineering

• Design plumbing systems for residential and commercial US-based projects.
• Prepare detailed plumbing layouts, construction drawings, and design documentation.
• Design and size Domestic Water, Sanitary, Vent, Storm Water, and Gas piping systems.
• Perform plumbing calculations, pipe sizing, fixture unit calculations, and equipment selection.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable US plumbing codes and standards (IPC/UPC).

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, Structural, and Architectural teams to ensure integrated MEP designs.
• Review project requirements and resolve interdisciplinary design conflicts.
• Address permit review comments and ensure code-compliant design revisions.

Technical Leadership

• Independently manage multiple plumbing design projects from concept through construction documentation.
• Review drawings and technical deliverables prepared by junior engineers.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to maintain quality and productivity.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical support when required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in US Plumbing Design.
• Experience designing plumbing systems for US residential and commercial building projects.
• Experience working with US MEP consulting firms is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of US plumbing codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for client coordination.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of:
