Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive revenue growth through new client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and key account management.

The ideal candidate will own the complete sales cycle, from lead generation and client engagement to proposal preparation, negotiation, deal closure, and post-sales relationship management. This role requires strong consultative selling skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to build long-term relationships with corporate decision-makers.

Candidates with experience in corporate gifting, luxury products, hospitality, events, promotional merchandise, or lifestyle industries will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and acquire new corporate clients across multiple industry segments.
  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, LinkedIn outreach, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Conduct client meetings to understand gifting requirements, budgets, and business objectives.
  • Present customized gifting solutions aligned with client expectations.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, presentations, and commercial offers.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to successfully close deals.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Key Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and key decision-makers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience through proactive communication and support.
  • Drive repeat business through upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve issues effectively.

Vendor Management & Sourcing Coordination

  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and sourcing partners to ensure timely product procurement.
  • Identify and onboard new vendors offering innovative gifting solutions.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to improve profitability.
  • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams for seamless order execution.
  • Monitor project timelines and delivery schedules.

Market Development

  • Identify emerging market trends and new business opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and product offerings.
  • Support seasonal campaigns, festive gifting initiatives, and new product launches.
  • Build strategic alliances with event agencies, hotels, HR teams, procurement teams, and corporate partners.

CRM & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, quotations, and sales activities in CRM.
  • Track sales pipeline and forecast monthly revenue.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports.
  • Ensure adherence to pricing, profitability, and approval guidelines.
  • Maintain complete documentation related to clients, vendors, and projects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 3–8 years of experience in B2B Sales, Corporate Sales, Business Development, or Key Account Management.
  • Experience in corporate gifting, luxury products, hospitality, events, promotional merchandise, lifestyle, or related industries is highly preferred.

  • Comfortable with regular client meetings, market visits, and vendor interactions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
