Reporting To: Sales Head / Director

Salary: 20k to 35k per month.

About the Role

Vishwakarma Agricultural Works is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth and expand market presence across Madhya Pradesh. The role involves managing dealer networks, developing new markets, strengthening customer relationships, and achieving sales targets for the company's agricultural machinery and equipment portfolio.

The ideal candidate should possess strong field sales experience, excellent dealer management capabilities, and in-depth knowledge of agricultural equipment and rural markets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets assigned by management.
  • Drive revenue growth and increase market share across the assigned territory.
  • Convert inquiries into sales and ensure timely order closures.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in existing and untapped markets.

Dealer & Distributor Management

  • Appoint, develop, and manage dealer and distributor networks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners.
  • Conduct regular dealer visits, performance reviews, and training programs.
  • Support dealers in improving retail sales and market penetration.
  • Resolve dealer concerns and ensure high levels of channel satisfaction.

Market Development & Expansion

  • Expand market coverage across urban and rural areas of Madhya Pradesh.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and monitor industry trends.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities, product demonstrations, and brand-building initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to increase product visibility and market share.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with farmers, customers, influencers, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and field marketing activities.
  • Collect customer feedback and market intelligence.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and service-related issues.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Submit Daily Visit Reports (DVRs) and tour reports regularly.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, inquiries, visits, sales conversions, and dealer activities.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitor updates to management.
  • Participate in review meetings and strategic planning discussions.

Territory Coverage

The selected candidate will manage sales operations across Madhya Pradesh, including but not limited to:

  • Indore
  • Bhopal
  • Ujjain
  • Dewas
  • Ratlam
  • Mandsaur
  • Neemuch
  • Sehore
  • Vidisha
  • Sagar
  • Gwalior
  • Jabalpur
  • Other nearby rural and high-potential markets

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of field sales experience in the Agricultural Machinery, Tractor, Farm Equipment, or Agri-Input industry.
  • Proven experience in dealer appointment, dealer development, and territory management.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural equipment and rural market dynamics.
  • Experience in achieving sales targets through channel sales and dealer networks.
  • Valid driving license is mandatory.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be based in Madhya Pradesh with strong local market knowledge.
  • Must own:
    • A Two-Wheeler (Bike)
    • A Four-Wheeler (Car)
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Madhya Pradesh.
  • Immediate joining preferred.
  • Maximum age: 40 years.
