Position: QA Management Representative (MR)

Location: POR Industrial Park, Vadodara, Gujarat

Department: Quality Assurance (QA)

Reporting To: Managing Director / Plant Head

CTC: ₹5.00 – ₹8.00 LPA (Based on Experience & Qualification)

Experience: 5–10 Years

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Management Representative (MR) to establish, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with API Q1 and ISO 9001:2015 standards.

The role will be responsible for maintaining API Monogram certifications for API 6A, API 16C, API 16AR, and API 20E products, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading audit programs, managing CAPA processes, and serving as the primary liaison between management, customers, auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies.

The incumbent will have the authority to identify quality issues, initiate corrective actions, stop non-conforming activities, and directly report QMS performance to Top Management.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve the Quality Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with API Q1, ISO 9001:2015, customer requirements, and applicable statutory regulations.
  • Develop and maintain Quality Manuals, SOPs, procedures, work instructions, forms, and records.
  • Monitor QMS effectiveness through KPIs, quality objectives, and process performance metrics.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

API Certification & Compliance Management

  • Maintain API Q1 certification and API Monogram licenses.
  • Ensure compliance with API 6A, API 16C, API 16AR, and API 20E requirements.
  • Coordinate API audits, surveillance audits, recertification audits, and customer assessments.
  • Act as the primary contact during external audits and inspections.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit observations and non-conformities.

Audit Management

  • Develop and execute annual internal audit programs and schedules.
  • Conduct Internal Audits as per API Q1 and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Coordinate customer audits, third-party inspections, and certification audits.
  • Track audit findings and ensure effective corrective actions.

CAPA & Non-Conformance Management

  • Manage NCR, CAPA, deviation control, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis using methodologies such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, and Risk Assessment.
  • Verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain CAPA and NCR records and databases.

Product Quality & Manufacturing Compliance

  • Review Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Manufacturing Procedures, and Inspection Procedures.
  • Ensure product traceability and documentation compliance.
  • Verify adherence to manufacturing, testing, and inspection requirements.
  • Monitor First Article Inspection (FAI) and qualification activities.

Supplier Quality Management

  • Manage supplier qualification and approval processes.
  • Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
  • Monitor supplier quality performance and drive supplier corrective actions.

Calibration & Equipment Control

  • Ensure timely calibration of all measuring and monitoring equipment.
  • Maintain calibration records and equipment status.
  • Monitor effectiveness of testing and inspection equipment.

Risk Management

  • Conduct QMS-related risk assessments.
  • Identify quality and operational risks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Maintain Risk and Opportunity Registers.

Management Review

  • Organize and facilitate Management Review Meetings (MRM).
  • Present quality performance reports, audit outcomes, CAPA status, customer feedback, and supplier performance.
  • Track and monitor closure of management review actions.

Customer Complaints & Satisfaction

  • Investigate customer complaints and warranty issues.
  • Implement corrective actions and monitor effectiveness.
  • Analyze customer feedback and satisfaction trends.
  • Support customer-focused quality improvement initiatives.

Training & Competency Development

  • Conduct API Q1 and ISO 9001 awareness and training programs.
  • Identify training needs and maintain competency matrices.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training initiatives.

Documentation Control

  • Ensure document approval, revision control, distribution, and retention compliance.
  • Maintain Master Document Registers.
  • Control obsolete documents and quality records.

Authority

The QA Management Representative will have the authority to:

  • Stop production or shipment of non-conforming products.
  • Initiate NCRs, CAPAs, and quality investigations.
  • Conduct internal audits and quality assessments.
  • Escalate quality concerns directly to Top Management.
  • Approve QMS documents and revisions.
  • Coordinate API, customer, and certification audits.
  • Recommend supplier approval, suspension, or disqualification.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Management Systems.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience implementing and maintaining API Q1 standards.
  • Experience with API 6A, API 16C, API 16AR, and API 20E products is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing API audits, certification audits, and customer audits.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments within Oil & Gas, Heavy Engineering, Precision Machining, or related industries.
