Job Description

Job Position:  Cluster Head – SME & Corporate Insurance Vertical 

We are hiring an experienced and result-oriented Cluster Head – SME & Corporate Insurance Vertical to lead business development and client relationship management across the SME and Mid-Corporate segment. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in insurance broking, corporate insurance sales, account management, and business growth.

Location: Chennai

Experience: 7–15 Years

CTC: ₹10–16 LPA

Preferred: Immediate to 30 Days Notice Period

Role Overview

The Cluster Head will be responsible for driving revenue growth within the SME and Corporate segment by acquiring new clients, managing key accounts, designing customized risk management solutions, and ensuring exceptional client servicing. The role requires close collaboration with insurers, internal stakeholders, and senior corporate decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth through acquisition and management of SME and Corporate clients.
  • Manage and expand a portfolio across Property, Liability, Marine, Motor, Group Health, and Specialty Insurance lines.
  • Assess client risks and design customized insurance and risk management solutions.
  • Develop and execute renewal and retention strategies to maximize client satisfaction and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with CXOs, Finance Heads, HR Heads, Procurement Teams, and key decision-makers.
  • Liaise with insurance companies to negotiate competitive coverage terms and pricing.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Claims, Underwriting, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Achieve assigned revenue, retention, and profitability targets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Lead and support direct sales initiatives for Health, Motor, and General Insurance products.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Graduate/Postgraduate from a recognized institution.
  • 7–15 years of experience in Insurance Broking, Corporate Insurance Sales, SME Business Development, or Key Account Management.
  • Strong understanding of Corporate Risk Management and Commercial Insurance products.
  • Proven track record in client acquisition, relationship management, and revenue generation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong network within SME and Mid-Corporate segments will be an added advantage.
  • Candidates serving immediate to 30 days' notice period will be preferred.
