Hardware Design & Development
Design and review analog, digital, power, and mixed-signal schematics using EDA tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, or Cadence.
Select components based on performance, availability, cost, and lead time.
Perform design reviews and schematic verification before PCB layout.
PCB Layout & Manufacturing
Design high-quality multi-layer PCBs following signal integrity, EMC/EMI, and thermal management best practices.
Apply DFMA (Design for Manufacturability & Assembly) principles to optimize manufacturing and assembly.
Generate fabrication files including Gerbers, drill files, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
Coordinate with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors.
Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and version-controlled design files.
Prototyping & Hardware Bring-up
Assemble and rework prototype PCBs, including SMD and through-hole components.
Perform board bring-up activities including power validation, communication interface testing, and peripheral integration.
Debug hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, and JTAG/SWD debuggers.
Work closely with firmware teams for hardware-software integration and debugging.
