Role Overview
We are seeking a technically strong and result-oriented Account Manager to drive business growth and manage key customer relationships across Gujarat. The role involves sales, technical consultation, account management, and market development for chromatography columns, consumables, and impurity standards within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector.
The ideal candidate should possess strong exposure to analytical products, chromatography workflows, and the Gujarat pharma market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
Achieve sales and revenue targets for chromatography columns, consumables, and impurity standards.
Identify and develop new business opportunities across pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO/CDMO, and research segments.
Expand market presence for Welch Materials Inc. and TLC Standards products.
Drive product penetration and customer acquisition across assigned territories.
2. Key Account Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement, QC, QA, R&D, and analytical teams.
Manage key pharmaceutical accounts including API manufacturers, formulation companies, and research centers.
Handle techno-commercial discussions, pricing negotiations, and long-term agreements.
Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term account retention.
3. Technical Sales & Application Support
Provide application-based support for HPLC/GC columns and analytical consumables.
Coordinate with principals and technical teams for troubleshooting and method optimization.
Conduct product demonstrations, seminars, workshops, and customer training programs.
Support clients with chromatography workflow optimization.
4. Market Intelligence & Strategy
Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and emerging market opportunities.
Share structured market insights and customer feedback with management.
Identify opportunities in specialized areas such as biologics, peptides, and complex injectables.
5. Sales Operations & Coordination
Prepare quotations and manage order closures effectively.
Coordinate with logistics and internal teams for timely deliveries.
Ensure timely payment collection and effective credit control.
Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and forecasts.

Required Qualifications
Education
B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field.
MBA in Sales/Marketing will be an added advantage.
Experience
7+ years of experience in chromatography, analytical instruments, or laboratory consumable sales.
Strong exposure to HPLC/GC columns, chromatography consumables, and analytical workflows.
Experience handling Gujarat pharma and biotech markets is mandatory.
