Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer who can take ownership of existing systems, understand and fix stalled or incomplete work, and help scale a MULTI-VENDOR, MULTI-SHIPMENT marketplace platform.

This role requires hands-on experience with marketplace architectures and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using PHP with strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
• Demonstrate deep hands-on understanding of MULTI-VENDOR and MULTI-SHIPMENT e-commerce systems, including order splitting, vendor-wise fulfillment, and shipment lifecycle management
• Analyze existing codebases, identify flaws or stalled implementations, and complete unfinished work without manual hand-holding
• Build and manage marketplace workflows: vendor onboarding, catalog management, pricing, and commissions
• Implement and maintain multi-shipment order handling (partial shipments, vendor-wise delivery, tracking)
• Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 developers, including task planning and code reviews
• Integrate third-party APIs (payments, logistics, notifications, etc.)
• Collaborate with product, operations, and leadership teams to align technology with business goals
• Ensure system stability, performance optimization, and smooth production releases

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in PHP backend development
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Proven experience working on MULTI-VENDOR marketplace platforms with MULTI-SHIPMENT order flows
• Ability to take over partially built systems and bring them to completion
• Experience with database design and optimization (MySQL / PostgreSQL)
• Hands-on experience with API integrations
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, on-site environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Good to Have

• Experience with Laravel or CodeIgniter
• Understanding of logistics and order-fulfillment systems
• Basic front-end integration knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Startup or scale-up experience
