Job Title: Senior Power System Engineer – Power System Studies

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Power System Engineer with strong expertise in power system studies and protection engineering, capable of independently handling projects, guiding power system engineers, and interacting directly with clients. The Senior Power System Engineer & Team Lead is responsible for end-to-end execution planning and delivery of power system study projects. The role demands technical leadership, structured execution, strong client interaction, and accountability for quality, timelines, and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and lead power system studies using ETAP, including:
  • Load Flow
  • Short Circuit
  • Relay Coordination & Protection Studies
  • Arc Flash Analysis
  • Harmonic Analysis
  • Grid islanding and load shedding
  • Motor static and dynamic

• Unit protection schemes.
• Protection philosophies, relay logic, and setting parameters
• Coordination between unit protection and backup protection
• Experience in analysing protection performance under various fault scenarios and operating conditions
• Develop and validate power system models.
• Interface with clients, consultants, and internal teams for technical discussions.
• Guide and review work team to maintain quality deliverables.
• Prepare and review technical reports and client presentations.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE / IEC / ANSI standards and grid codes.
• Ownership of project execution, from project kick-off through final delivery and client acceptance.
• Coordinate closely with cross-functional internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Demonstrate clear and strong technical understanding of project scope, study methodology, assumptions, and deliverables.
• Ensure timely completion of projects with minimal rework and effective internal reviews.
• Lead client review meetings and secure formal clearance and acceptance of deliverables.
• Actively represent the organization and the Power System team at relevant power system conferences, technical seminars, workshops, and industry forums.
• Represent the team in technical discussions with industry bodies, consultants, utilities, OEMs, and professional networks, strengthening the organization’s technical credibility.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Special subject in Power Systems preferred).
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in power system studies and protection.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with ETAP; working knowledge and exposure of other power system analysis software is an added advantage.
