Job Title: Manager – Accounts
Location: GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat Compensation: Up to ₹20 LPA
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manager – Accounts to lead end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and team management. The role will partner closely with the CFO and senior stakeholders to strengthen financial controls, reporting accuracy, and scalable processes in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations & Close
Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, T&E reimbursements, payroll coordination, and customer/vendor contract accounting.
Manage and own the monthly close process including journal entries, general ledger review, reconciliations, and variance analysis of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and review periodic financial reports for management, auditors, and other stakeholders.
Perform proactive financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and fluctuations in balances.
Support strategic decision-making through variance analysis, dashboards, and ad-hoc financial insights.
Controls, Compliance & Audit
Review, enhance, and implement accounting processes with focus on scalability, standardization, internal controls, and compliance.
Manage annual statutory and external audits; prepare workpapers and liaise with auditors.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal statutory reporting and tax requirements.
Stay current with accounting standards and regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Manage, mentor, and develop internal accounting staff and external accounting partners.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers.
Partner with the CFO on corporate governance, budgeting, forecasting, systems implementation, and financial planning initiatives.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Collaborate with management on annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Monitor budget performance and conduct variance analysis with actionable insights.
Requirements
Education & Experience
6+ years of progressive accounting and leadership experience (Big 4 / public accounting experience preferred).
CA / CPA qualification mandatory.
Experience working in a high-growth, B2B / Enterprise SaaS or technology-driven environment preferred.
Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Hands-on experience with revenue recognition, inventory accounting, stock-based compensation, intangible assets, and complex accounting areas.
Proven experience managing end-to-end monthly close cycles.
Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct or similar platforms.
Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, Index-Match, etc.).
