Profile: SCADA Engineer

Location: Raipur

We’re Hiring: SCADA (GE E-Terra Suite Specialist)

We are looking for an experienced SCADA Engineer with strong expertise in GE’s SCADA/DMS application suite – E-Terra Version 3.4 to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor installed servers, switches, GPS, and workstations of control center equipment (via site overview display), and manage logs/reports through the NMS application.
• Build new databases for RTU, FRTU, and customer control calculations using DBB (Database Builder).
• Modify existing databases for RTU, FRTU, and customer control calculations through DBB.
• Support online database processes.
• Add or modify displays for RTU, FRTU, RVDU, and SCADA using FG Builder as per requirements.
• Build or update DMS displays and generate DMS mod files through the DMS Development Tool.
• Diagnose and resolve workstation or RVDU issues reported by users (JE, AE/RVDU).
• Troubleshoot and fix issues in E-Terra Reports, including SQL Server back-end activities as required.
• Configure/modify switches, routers, and firewall settings.
• Perform quarterly system backup and purging activities.
• Support integration of new substations.
• Update modem and module firmware/databases in RTUs and FRTUs.
• Validate and ensure accuracy of all digital/analog data from RMU panel to SCADA. Handle LDMS-related operations and support.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Proven hands-on experience with GE’s SCADA/DMS E-Terra Suite (v3.4), including:
• DBB, Browser, Comm, Control, Habitat, PClink, SCADA, Distribution Server, Transmission, Display Builder, Archive, Sentinel
• Strong knowledge of SCADA operations, power system automation, RTUs/FRTUs, and substations.
• Good command of SQL Server, networking (switches/routers/firewalls), and system administration.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues independently. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Eligibility Criteria of Candidate

• Candidate should be Science graduate having any of the following degree: -
  • B.E./B.Tech. (Computer Science) / (IT) or above.
  • MCA & Above
  • M.Sc. (Computer Science) / M.SC. (IT) or above.
• Candidate should have adequate domain knowledge (E-terra software suite & its configuration)
• candidate should have minimum three years of domain experience (as E- terra software suite application)
