Job Description

Job Title - Planning & Purchase Manager

Location: Delhi/NCR
Department: Projects & Procurement
CTC Range: ₹6,00,000 – ₹10,00,000 per annum
Preference: Candidates with experience in Government Projects, Railways, MES, CPWD, PWD will be highly preferred.

This role will be the central coordination point between planning, purchase, and project execution teams.

About the Role

We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Planning & Purchase Manager with hands-on experience in construction and infrastructure-based project execution. The candidate must be capable of preparing BOQ/BOM, planning schedules, interpreting tender requirements, coordinating with project sites, and managing procurement with best terms and pricing.

The role is crucial for ensuring material efficiency, project cost control, vendor management, and timely execution of project milestones.


Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Prepare BOQ/BOM based on tender drawings and project specifications
  • Create project-wise execution schedules and material planning trackers
  • Act as a central coordination hub for project sites, purchase, vendors, and internal teams
  • Track work progress and update timelines, highlighting risks and critical path delays
  • Support tender & bid estimation with quantity take-offs and resource planning

2. Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors for civil, electrical, mechanical, MS fabrication items
  • Manage negotiations, pricing, delivery timelines, payment terms, warranty scope
  • Raise purchase orders and monitor delivery timelines as per project urgency
  • Maintain vendor evaluation records, rate master, and negotiation history
  • Work with Accounts for invoice verification, GRN, and closure

3. Technical & Compliance Documentation

  • Read and interpret tender specifications and engineering drawings accurately
  • Maintain DPRs, MRRs, Procurement Trackers & Material Consumption records
  • Assist in technical approvals, sample reviews, BOQ comparison sheets
  • Support tendering team with technical insights for new project bids

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • BE/B.Tech – Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • 5–10 years’ experience in construction, infrastructure, MEP or elevator projects
  • Strong understanding of BOM/BOQ preparation & project planning tools (MSP/Primavera/Excel)
  • Strong negotiation skills and vendor sourcing abilities
  • Good knowledge of materials used in civil, MEP & MS structural work
  • Ability to handle multitasking, pressure, and deliver within deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets & Procurement Software/ERP

Preferred Competencies

  • Experience with Govt/MES/Railway/Defence projects
  • Cost estimation & budgeting knowledge
  • Understanding of GST, e-way bill, statutory compliance
  • Excellent documentation & analytical abilities
