Job Description
Job Title: Fabrication Manager - Transformer Tank
Job Location: Bakatra-1, Near MM Fun City, Raipur CG
Benefits: Provident Fund + Leaves + Bonus + Monthly Incentives
Shift: 9.0am to 5.30pm (8hrs)
Salary: 7-12 LPA
Purpose & Goals of the position
A transformer tank fabrication manager is responsible for the production of transformer tanks, including planning and scheduling, and overseeing the coordination of resources and personnel.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Prepare complete fabriction details drawings as per approved drawings.
Prapare drawings, GTP, Calculations as per relevant technical specifications, IS & IES with customer requirement for approval upto 50MVA, 132 KVA Class transformers.
Review of fabrication drawings issues.
Inspection & ouality check of all in-coming raw material and bought out items.
Co-ordinate the customer inspection at vendor ends for transformer tank, fabrication items,
Preparation of non-conformance report after materials inspection, if required and ensure the proper closure of the same.
Visual and Dimensional inspection of fabricated parts and welded joints.
Conducting DP Test for welded joints.
Conducting Pressure and Vacuum test on Tanks along with leakage test.
Manufacturing fabrication document like check list, floor plan for vendor Audit al the all fabrication supplier (tank, channel, roller etc)
Excellent knowledge in Arc & Gas cutting & all types of weldings.
Excellent knowledge in Spray Painting, Material Surface & short blasting.
Control of Raw material & consumables.
Standardization of products by studying various drawings to increase production tonnage.
Overseeing the coordination of materials, resources, and personnel to optimize fabrication processes
Responsible for mechanical design, development, and analysis of the tank and components
Work Experience Requirements
10+ years of relevant quality assurance/control, manufacturing, supplier development or similar operational experience in the field of transformers tank fabrication, welding, machining, transformer components.
Knowledge of heat treatment processes and surface protection processes such as hot-dip galvanize, powder and wet paint processes, short blasting, E-coating (KTL) processes, etc.
Education Requirements
Diploma, Bachelor's and/or master's degree in mechanical engineering
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Knowledge of safety and quality standards in the electrical industry;
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills;
Ability to handle the team and work as a part of a team;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD 2D software;
Key Skills & Experience:
The candidate should be capable of reading and interpreting transformer tank drawings and designs, with hands-on exposure to welding, shot blasting, pressure testing, and vacuum testing.
He must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in tank fabrication. The applicant should be above 35 years of age.
