About the Role
Baaya Design is seeking an articulate, sales-driven Assistant Manager – Experience Centre to co-lead immersive client experiences and deepen our high-value customer relationships. This role blends sales, curation, storytelling, and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will not only walk clients through our offerings but also help them discover the artistic and cultural value behind each piece. Part art advisor, part curator, part sales expert.
You’ll need a strong grasp of Indian craft traditions, a nuanced sense of spatial and interior aesthetics, and the ability to shape high-impact conversations that translate into both art appreciation and commercial conversions. You’ll be a key face of Baaya’s mission – offering personalised, meaningful journeys through our Experience Centre.
Key Responsibilities
Host and guide walk-in clients, architects, and designers through the Baaya Experience Centre in a highly consultative manner
Interpret client needs, recommend suitable artworks, artefacts, or lighting solutions, and propose commissions aligned with their taste and design intent
Offer storytelling-led presentations that highlight the cultural significance and craft narratives behind each piece
Build trust with HNI clients and project stakeholders, offering advisory-level guidance akin to a design or art consultant
Drive consistent lead conversion and sales growth while maintaining long-term client relationships
Partner with the design and production teams to ensure timely communication of concepts, samples, and delivery timelines
Support curated walkthroughs, events, and private client presentations at the EC.
Maintain CRM records and generate reports for review and planning.
Ensure high standards of visual merchandising, display curation, and smooth day-to-day EC operations
Required Skills and Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in luxury retail, art advisory, interior styling, or gallery/experience-led sales
Deep appreciation of Indian crafts and the ability to articulate their value to contemporary audiences
Strong storytelling, presentation, and client engagement skills
Ability to translate spatial and artistic concepts into sales opportunities and marketing narratives
Sales-driven mindset with a consultative approach and proven track record with HNI clients and design professionals
Familiarity with CRM systems, Google Workspace, and showroom processes
A collaborative spirit and the ability to coordinate across creative, sales, and production functions
