Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Manager to manage and oversee our financial operations, with a focus on the unique aspects of the plywood industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, experience in the manufacturing or trading sector, and the ability to handle a wide range of accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting:
Maintain and oversee the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory transactions, costing, and control systems specific to plywood products.
Reconcile inventory accounts and assist in monthly physical stock checks to ensure accurate inventory records.
Taxation and Compliance:
Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliances as required.
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and stay updated on changes in tax laws relevant to the industry.
Cost Analysis:
Conduct cost analysis and variance reporting to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Assist in pricing strategies for plywood products based on cost calculations and market trends.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis for decision-making.
Audit and Internal Controls:
Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to accounting standards.
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
Banking and Cash Flow Management:
Manage cash flow, fund allocation, and bank reconciliations to ensure smooth financial operations.
Liaise with banks for financial transactions, loan processing, and other banking needs.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and guide junior accounting staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/ICWA qualification preferred).
Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing or plywood industry.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or ERP systems) and MS Office, especially Excel.
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other tax regulations.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
