Job Summary:

The Senior Designer – Apparel will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, designing, and executing innovative apparel collections for Alive & Sleek. The candidate should have strong expertise in workwear, uniforms, fashion apparel, and technical textiles. The role requires a balance of creative vision, market trend analysis, technical expertise, and collaboration with merchandising, production, and sourcing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design Development & Trend Forecasting: Research global trends, fabrics, and innovations relevant to workwear and lifestyle apparel.
- Product & Collection Development: Conceptualize and execute new apparel collections with innovative designs.
- Fabric & Trim Sourcing: Work closely with sourcing and merchandising teams to select appropriate fabrics and trims.
- Technical Design & Fit Approvals: Create detailed tech packs and collaborate with pattern makers to ensure garment fit and construction.
- Collaboration with Merchandising & Production: Partner with merchandising teams to align designs with market demands.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all designs meet international quality standards and sustainability practices.
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct market research to understand competitor products and industry trends.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- 4-6 years of experience in apparel design, preferably in workwear, uniforms, or fashion apparel.
- Graduate from NID / NIFT with expertise in fashion design, technical design, or textile design.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, draping, and fabric properties.
- Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, CLO3D, or Optitex for digital designing.
- Hands-on experience in creating tech packs, spec sheets, and 3D apparel visualization.
- Strong understanding of fabric sourcing, trims, prints, embroidery, and garment detailing.
- Ability to collaborate with vendors, mills, and factories for smooth product development.
- Experience working with export buyers (especially USA/Canada) and understanding global apparel markets.
- Knowledge of sustainability and performance fabrics is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced production environments.
