YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development and unit testing of web application including front-end (SPA) and back-end (microservices), maintenance & support of the same.
• Aid Project Managers and Technical Leads in the planning of projects (e.g. provision of estimates, risk analysis, requirements analysis, technical options)
• Software Design
• Involvement in full life cycle of projects (including requirement analysis and system design, development and support if required)
• Support and work collaboratively with teams across areas of design, development, quality assurance and operations.
• Commit your knowledge and experience into team success.
• Be prepared to travel (when needed) to work with other Whiztek offices.
• Attend meetings if required to discuss and demonstrate solutions at both technical and business level.

 REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience in Web API development
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles
• Proficient in ASP.NET Web API or .NET Core Web API
• API security (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API key management)
• Experience with performance optimization in web API services
• Knowledge of API versioning, throttling, and rate-limiting techniques
• API testing and documentation (Swagger, Postman, or similar tools)
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) for APIs
• AWS services integration (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Knowledge of API design patterns and best practices
• Understanding of CORS, HTTP methods, and status codes
• Exception handling and logging (e.g., Serilog or NLog) in API development
• Distributed systems and message-based architecture integration (using technologies like RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.)

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• .Net Core
• Experience with API management tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, or AWS API Gateway for monitoring and versioning)
•  Knowledge of asynchronous programming (async/await) and multithreading in API services
• Understanding of microservices architecture and its interaction with APIs (e.g., using Docker, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on experience with API Gateway solutions (e.g., AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management)
• Familiarity with Serverless API development (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
• React.js (Good to have)
