Overview
This role will use agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
You will thrive on cultivating an atmosphere for high-performing team dynamics, ongoing improvement and continuous flow by training, mentoring, and supporting teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices.
Ensuring all scrum based activities are completed in a timely manner, including defining and organising Scrum roles, sprint planning, daily scrum/ standups, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
- Strategic Focus
- Manage each project’s scope and timeline.
- Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups.
- Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements.
- Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing.
- Operational Management
- Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
- Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur.
- Help teams implement changes effectively.
- Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
- Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
- Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it.
People Leadership
- Coach team members in Agile frameworks.
- Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
- Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders).
Governance & Risk
- Tracking project processes, deliverables, and financials.
- Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders.
Experience & Personal Attributes
- Certified Scrum Master.
- A minimum 2 years as a Scrum Master or similar role.
- Possess excellent knowledge of agile methodology, techniques and frameworks including scrum or Kanban to deliver solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate people and projects (occasionally facilitating changes) with your mind set on deliverables.
