Job Description
- Provide expert consultation on all aspects of blood banking and transfusion services
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Train and educate staff on best practices for blood collection, processing, and storage
- Conduct regular audits and quality assessments of the blood center operations
- Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure timely availability of blood products for patients
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in blood banking technology
- Work closely with the medical director and laboratory staff to coordinate blood product testing and distribution
- Participate in disaster preparedness planning and response efforts
- Serve as a liaison to external blood donation organizations and regulatory agencies
