Role & responsibilities

• Lead the innovation and R&D team to identify new and diverse products for the organization to be launched in the market

• Preparation of Master formula, Batch Manufacturing Records ( BMR ), SOPs for new products and supervise products and their ingredient composition as per predefined specifications.

• Coordinate the entire product development including requirement analysis, finalizing specifications, designing, prototype development & testing activities.Prototype samples development, evaluation & benchmarking with internal & external panels.

• Re evaluate and understand the current product range and identify key improvements/changes require

• Development of cost effective versions of existing products through replacement of RM as well optimization of process.

• Ensure extensive collaboration with the Marketing and Projects team to identify traits of the consumers in the regional space (North and East), and launch new products aligned to it

• Lead product testing and sampling for new improvements and collaboration with on ground team to gather consumer insights and run iterations basis that

• Collaborating with marketing team for conduction of surveys, FGDs , etc. to understand certain food preferences and taste trends in of the Indian consumer

• Execute collaborations with external agencies, academic institutions to spear head innovation and capture new trends

• Preparation of budget for various projects to be undertaken for new development, improvements in current product ranges, etc.

• Ensure regulatory and legal norms are being followed for the development process

• Set performance Goals for R&D Team & review performance periodically to build best in class R&D team

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong research and innovation driven mindset

• Deep expertise in analytical skills to analyze consumer insights and develop products to the demand

• Specialized knowledge about the food industry

• Effective cross functional collaborative skills

• emonstrated experience in leading team sizes greater than 5

• Must be conversant with the end to the end life cycle of product development from concept to commercialization

• Exposure and experience in regulatory and legal norms and guidelines.
