We are seeking a skilled Press Design Engineer to join our fast-growing team at Rajkot, Gujarat. With a passion to design, develop and test mechanical components, the candidate must thrive in a challenging environment. We are seeking a team player that can work alongside clients, manufacturing team and engineers.

Responsibilities

•         Design and develop mechanical systems, keeping in mind the costing, standard parts available in the market.

•         Report to the senior design team lead regarding the status of each project.

•         Use of ERP software to make BOMs of the machines and keep them updated.

•         Drawing approvals from the customer end and project team end.

•         Make drawings in AutoCAD and Solidworks.

•         Use 2D CAD and 3D CAD drawings to plan the mechanical design projects 

•         Troubleshoot problems and devise solutions to resolve them.

•         Interdepartmental coordination with fabrication, assembly & machine shop for project status update, review & trouble shooting.

•         Research and keep up with the dynamic technology and trends in the field. 

•         Work as a contributor in designing the power presses

Required skills and qualifications

•         Bachelor/Master’s degree in mechanical engineering

•         Prior experience (3+ years) working as a mechanical design engineer with exposure to designing of machines.

•         Hands on Experience on Fabrication drawing / Machining Drawing/Assembly Drawings.

•         Knowledge in dealing with engineering drawings and 3D modelling.

•         Sound knowledge of GD&T

•         Must have hands on knowledge of SOILD WORKS / AUTOCAD / CREO / Simulation

•         Strong verbal, written and communications skills

•         Must have knowledge of Software and Programs to check the material strength and machine design

•         Should have excellence in MS Excel and design calculations of shafts, gears, flywheels, bearings, crankshafts etc.
