Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior WordPress Developer specializing in backend development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in building, customizing, and maintaining high-performance WordPress websites. You will play a crucial role in developing custom themes and plugins, optimizing website performance, and ensuring the scalability and security of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities:
Custom Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve the performance of WordPress sites, including database optimization, caching, and server configurations.
Security: Ensure all WordPress websites are secure by implementing best practices and staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and patches.
Database Management: Design, implement, and optimize MySQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
API Integration: Implement and manage third-party integrations using RESTful APIs and other methods.
Version Control: Manage code repositories using Git, ensuring best practices in version control.
Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for backend issues and bugs.
Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to deliver cohesive and high-quality web solutions.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of development processes, codebases, and user guides for custom solutions.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Required skills and qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in WordPress backend development.
Technical Expertise: Proficient in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and RESTful APIs.
WordPress Knowledge: Deep understanding of WordPress.org standards to develop themes and plugins.
Performance Tuning: Strong experience with website performance optimization techniques.
Security Best Practices: In-depth knowledge of WordPress security best practices and techniques.
Version Control: Proficient in using Git for version control.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
MVC architecture: Experience with any PHP MVC framework such as Laravel.
Deployment: Familiarity with WordPress Site deployment to any hosting
WooCommerce: Experience with WooCommerce development and customization.
Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean or Google Cloud.
Advanced Custom Fields (ACF): Experience with ACF for custom content management.
