ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designs and develops applications with an eye towards simplicity, reliability, manageability, scalability, extensibility, performance, and reusability. 
• Performing requirement analysis. 
• Develop high-quality and detailed designs. 
• Identifying risk and conducting mitigation action planning. 
• Using coding standards and best practices to ensure quality. 
• Perform code reviews and suggest coding practices to the team. 
• Agile best practices and help the team deliver on time. 
• Responsible for Story preparation, development of code, writing automated unit and integration tests, getting sign-off from manager, deployment, monitoring and maintenance of code. 
• Design, implement,, and launch highly-visible features for our retail platform using test-driven / Behaviour-Driven behavior-driven development practices and support the operations of the product in production. 
• Continuously grow his/her skills and value through pair programming and code reviews. 
• Practice relentless automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps. 
• Works collaboratively with technical and business team members to develop and maintain business solutions following Agile development principles and practices. 
• Flexible to be available on call as per project need. 
• Should be able to work independently. 

TECH SKILLS (MUST HAVE): 

• Good knowledge about writing code using test-driven development 
• The ones in the tech skills must have are pretty standard, along with the TDD, which a 6+ exp in engineering should know. 
• The node JS one and the TDD one are the most important. Others are also equally important, but we expect the person to have knowledge about the other areas. 
• 6+ years of development experience on developing Microservices using NodeJS 
• Good knowledge about caching engines likes Redis and Varnish 
• Strong DevOps knowledge 
• Good knowledge about build and release tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions 
• Good knowledge about Deployment strategies (Canary, Blue, and Green) 
• Knowledge about SQL/No-SQL DB, preferably Cosmos 
• Good knowledge of Agile development methodologies. 
• Knowledge of any monitoring and logging tools like New Relic, Grafana, Splunk, etc. 

TECH SKILLS (GOOD TO HAVE): 

• Experience with the cloud, preferably Azure 
• Good knowledge about Application Gateways and Load balancers 
• CDNs, Akamai Tools, Akamai Portal, Akamai Property Configs 
• Optimizely Server Side 
• Certificate Management & Venafi 
• Microsoft VMs & Blob Storage
