We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pre-Primary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. The Pre-Primary Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum, fostering a positive learning atmosphere, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Integrate themes and projects that promote holistic development (cognitive, emotional, social, and physical).
Classroom Management:
Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Establish and maintain routines that provide structure and predictability.
Use positive discipline strategies to manage classroom behavior effectively.
Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
Observe and assess students’ progress and development regularly.
Maintain accurate records of students’ performance and development.
Provide feedback to parents/guardians on a regular basis and during parent-teacher conferences.
Parental Engagement:
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child’s progress and school activities.
Encourage parental involvement in classroom activities and school events.
Address any concerns or questions parents/guardians may have promptly and professionally.
Professional Development:
Stay updated with the latest developments in early childhood education.
Participate in professional development opportunities and training sessions.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.
Classroom Environment:
Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and conducive to learning.
Arrange classroom space to enhance learning and encourage independence.
Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore and learn.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Relevant teaching certification or license (if applicable).
Previous experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry children and objects up to 40 pounds.
Stamina to keep up with the physical demands of working with young children (e.g., sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods).
Employment Type:
Full-time position.
Working hours: Typically Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend events.
