Job Description
Job Title: Senior Accountant
We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Margao, South Goa. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in managing UAE-based clients, independently handling the complete accounting cycle, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a team of accounting professionals.

Compensation
Salary: ₹50,000 per month (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
Location: Margao, South Goa
Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Independently manage and finalize the Books of Accounts end-to-end for multiple clients.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end closures.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.
- Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records in accordance with applicable standards and company policies.
UAE Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT laws and regulations, including return preparation, filing, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and support UAE Corporate Tax computations, including taxable profit calculations, adjustments, disclosures, and related filings.
- Stay updated with evolving UAE tax laws and accounting regulations to ensure ongoing compliance for clients.
Client Management
- Liaise directly with clients to collect financial data, resolve accounting queries, and provide proactive support.
- Build strong client relationships by ensuring timely delivery of accurate financial information and advisory support.
- Manage multiple client portfolios while maintaining service quality and deadlines.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of accountants and junior staff members.
- Allocate work effectively, review outputs, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Provide ongoing training, technical guidance, and performance coaching to team members.
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of total accounting experience, including at least 3 years working with UAE-based companies or clients.
Preferred Certifications
- ACCA / CA / CPA or equivalent professional qualification will be a strong advantage.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Proven ability to independently manage and finalize accounts with minimal supervision.
- Strong working knowledge of UAE VAT and UAE Corporate Tax frameworks.
- Hands-on experience in managing multiple clients or working in an accounting consultancy environment preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
