Job Description
Networking Skills
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in the networking field broadly in telecom and service-provider industry with strong technical domain knowledge
- Well-rounded knowledge and experience in the IP/MPLS, optical-transport, optical-broadband.
- Good understanding of current telecom technology developments including SDWAN, SDN, NetConf/Yang & Telemetry.
- Hands-on knowledge of EMS/NMS/OSS systems including their functionalities, user value proposition and backend systems setup
- Strong background of working in network operations environment and participation in network upgrades, troubleshooting and new service roll-outs, is highly desirable
- Experience in handling technical interactions with network operations and planning user groups to understand network/ service-level issues and steer product/ solution enhancements
- Professional certification such as CCNA/CCNP is a plus
Software Skills
- Good understanding of working setup of telecom software systems/platforms (such as, NMS, EMS, OSS, BSS, CRM etc.) and their integrations
- Hands on experience of Linux platform/OS, Web-server, databases and knowledge about application software build environment will be a plus
- Having worked with software systems and application platform vendors is a plus
- Working understanding of cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IT Systems (including servers, VM’s and application platforms)
- Experience with ETOM framework and ITIL is desirable

- Ability to lead project delivery, work with backend developers, track schedules and manage customer expectations
- Manage customer communication in terms of product functioning, new extensions or change-request implementation, reports delivery and resolve technical issues
- Strong technical ability and aptitude to learn new fields, protocols & processes
- Proactive and good relationship management skills
- Problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team or as a team-lead/individually
