Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Support organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counselling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analysing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
  • Consult with employers to identify needs and preferred qualifications
  • Interview applicants about their experience, education and skills
  • Contact references and perform background checks
  • Inform applicants about job details such as benefits and conditions
  • Hire or refer qualified candidates
  • Conduct new employee orientations
  • Process paperwork manage a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; and recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
  • Plan and coordinate the workforce to best use employee’s talents.
  • Resolve issues between management and employees.
  • Advise managers on policies like equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of specialists and staff.
